Discover Maharashtra: Exploring the State by Bike

When the workload gets to your nerves, or when you need to mend a broken heart, ride away on a long road trip alone or with your friends -we leave that up to you!

Unsurprisingly enough, Maharashtra is blessed with natural beauty and the roads too are in great condition. To put a cherry on top, bikers even get to experience riding through the narrow ghats!

Let’s get your next trip started with ones of these destinations:

Dapoli:

There’s nothing comparable to the lengthy and curvy road that takes you to Dapoli. Some 200 kilometers away from Mumbai lies the Murud Beach where you can chill and feel the breeze in solitude!

Bhandardara:

Experts might get starry-eyed reading about this route. Let us warn you (or rather excite you) that this route is chock full of tricky ghats to boost your adrenaline.

The Mumbai-Kalyan-Murbad-Majshej-Bhandardara-Ghoti-Igatpuri-Mumbai route is the route to take. The destination is obviously ideal for couple getaways and for a guy gang too!

Lonavla:

If riding your two-wheeler on the traffic-clogged highways of Mumbai bugs you, take to the Old Mumbai-Pune highway. Sometimes the soot-covered roads of our city can make us forget the joy of riding. With the open road that takes you to Lonavala, you’ll be enjoying yourself to the fullest.

Alibag:

Take your girlfriend on a bike ride to this destination that’s famed as the couples tourist spot. Your amazing ride will last for about 2 hours 30 minutes via MH SH 104. In kilometers, it’s still under 100.

As winter is coming, the season is best to travel to Alibaug. Take this road for the least traffic: Nerul → Padeghar → Chirner → Dolghar → Pen → Vadkhal → Poynad → Alibaug.

Mahabaleshwar:

Bike riders can get soaked in the forest ambiance of Mahabaleshwar. Feast on the view of lush greenery as you ride through the roads that have bends and curves of all kinds. Riders will enjoy this one for its beautiful landscape. Although, beware: this ride is the longest of all. It will take you approximately 5 1/2 hours to reach this place.

If you’re riding in winter, don’t forget to bargain and bag some strawberries from the Mahabaleshwar market!

Hope you plan your next trip to one of these great destinations. And we’re always hunting new spots to ride to! So, stay tuned for more!
